Advisory Board

The Foundation’s Advisory Board is comprised of a diverse group of professionals working in the areas of health care, public safety, government, media, law and business. Their goal is to advise Renaudin Foundation on activities, outreach and resource allocation, ensuring that the work we do gets people the help they need to survive the pandemic and thrive in its aftermath. 

Michael Dastugue

Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, Walmart U.S.

Michael Dastugue is executive vice president and chief financial officer for Walmart U.S. and is responsible for merchandise, store operations, real estate, logistics and marketing finance; strategy; financial accounting; and financial planning and analysis.

Michael joined the company in January 2013 as senior vice president and chief financial officer for Sam’s Club. Previously, he spent 20 years in retail at JCPenney, where he gained extensive experience in financial planning and analysis, mergers and acquisitions, strategy, treasury and capital markets and real estate. He held numerous leadership positions, including executive vice president and chief financial officer, treasurer and senior vice president of property development. Prior to JCPenney, Michael worked for three years in public accounting.

Michael earned a master’s in business administration from the University of Texas at Austin and a bachelor of business administration from Texas A&M University. Michael and his wife, Cheryl, have three children.

Roberto Chamorro Elizondo

Roberto Chamorro Elizondo

Chief Commercial Officer, CCN

Chamorro Elizondo is the Commercial Director for Compañía Cervecera de Nicaragua (CCN), a Nicaraguan Company with over 4500 collaborators, gross sales over 500M dollars and presence in four different markets. Over the course of his career at CCN, he has contributed to the generation of value in six different positions across the areas of finance, marketing and sales. Chamorro Elizondo has played an active role in the defense of freedom of speech in Nicaragua. He has served on the board of directors of La Prensa and Invermedia / Promedia, two of the most important independent media outlets in the country. Furthermore, he is the founder of the Microfinancier CreceMas, which provides loans and financial education to small businesses in the traditional sector, and is a current member of the board of directors of the Nicaraguan Chamber of Commerce and Services.
Chamorro Elizondo holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Montevallo University, an MBA from INCAE, and a PGCert in Leadership from Wharton University. 

Mervatt Eljaouhari

Attorney At Law with Sternberg, Naccari & White

Mervatt Eljaouhari focuses her practice on helping families and businesses protect their assets and plan for the future.
A New Orleans native, she has an undergraduate degree in International Business and a Juris Doctor and Masters of Business Administration from Loyola University New Orleans.
Mervatt’s practice areas include Litigation, Business and Corporate Law, Estate Planning and Wealth Protection. She is also a Certified Value Builder by The Value Builder System and has advised businesses on contract negotiation, employment agreements, entity formation, buy/sell agreements and business exit strategies.
She is a member of the French Quarter Business Association and is an attorney accredited with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. Mervatt enjoys traveling to see her family abroad, any time on the water, and taking in all the live music New Orleans has to offer.

Joseph P. Lopinto, III

Sheriff of Jefferson Parish, Louisiana

Joe Lopinto joined the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office in 1997 as a recruit and, in 2018, was elected to complete Sheriff Normand’s unfinished term. Throughout the years, he served the Jefferson Parish Sheriff Office as Chief Criminal Deputy and Commander of Field Operations, Legal Liaison to Sheriff Newell Normand, Narcotics Detective, and Deputy.

A 1994 graduate of Brother Martin High School, Mr. Lopinto worked his way through college and graduate school, receiving a Juris Doctor (law degree) from Loyola University School of Law, Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Loyola University, and Associate degree from Delgado. He has been instrumental in law-enforcement education, serving as both a teacher and mentor in the Jefferson Parish Academy as well as with other sheriffs and law schools throughout the state.

Previously, he was elected three times to the Louisiana House of Representatives where he served as Vice Chairman of the Committee on Commerce and as Chairman of the House Committee on the Administration of Criminal Justice during his tenure.

A lifelong resident of Jefferson Parish, Joseph and his wife, Lauren, have been married for 15 years and have seven year old twins, Joey and Lily.

George Renaudin, II

Humana Senior Vice President, Retail East and Provider Experience

George Renaudin is Humana’s leader for the Eastern half of the country comprising over 2.3 million Medicare members. In addition, he leads Humana’s nationwide Provider organization, inclusive of Humana Alliance Partners, Value-Based Strategies and provider contracting. 

Humana acquired Ochsner Health Plan in 2004 where George served as Senior Vice President of Administration. 

Additionally,  George served on Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal’s Transition Team. He was President of the Louisiana Association of Health Plans, and he was elected to the board of the Louisiana Health Care Alliance. An avid learner, George earned a bachelor’s degree from Tulane University and a master’s degree in Public Policy (with an emphasis in Medicare and health care policy) from Pennsylvania State University. He is a Crowe Scholar and Cum Laude graduate of Loyola University Law School.

Shawn W. Rogers

B.C. Canada

Shawn is also the Founder of Rogers Law Firm, a Louisiana based firm with a focus on  Oil & Gas Law, Corporate Representation, Mergers and Acquisitions, Contracts, Permitting & Civil Litigation. 
Shawn is a graduate from Southern Methodist University, where he received a B.S. in economics and finance. While at Southern Methodist University he was the recipient of the Wallace Lovejoy Memorial Award for Excellence and Innovation in the Field of Economics. 
He received his Juris Doctorate from Loyola University Law School with Top Honors, most notably in Trial Mastery, Litigation Mastery, Mediation Mastery and Ethics.
Prior to attending Loyola Law School he worked as a commodities broker and asset management specialist for multiple large investment firms in New York and New Orleans.
Shawn has sat as a board member on several companies both privately held and public and numerous non-profit organizations. 
 Shawn’s network and knowledge in the fields of international law,  international business and finance is vital to all of Pale Horse’s operations.

Keith Smith

Senior Pastor of Catalyst Ministries

Keith Smith is a connector of people, a motivational coach, business consultant, and an Ordained minister.

Keith Studied at Northwestern State University in the field of psychology. He founder Catalyst Ministries in 1998 and has since traveled internationally teaching and consulting non-profit organizations. In addition to being Senior Pastor at Catalyst Ministries, Keith works as consultant for an international renewable energy company.

Keith has worked with many non-profits and other organizations to help them successfully meet their projections and goals. He is the co-author of a workbook called L.E. 90X, that creates disciplines and habits that promotes a better you. In addition to Renaudin Foundation, Keith is on the Advisory Board for Project Joy & Hope, a non-profit organization that provides total support to terminally ill children and their families.

Keith is currently working on an International project involving renewable energy. He resides in Crockett, Tx with his wife of 35 years, Daphne, and their son Ethan who is a college student at Angelina College. Keith loves to workout and enjoys fishing every chance he gets.

Oliver Thomas

Host of The Good Morning Show on Bakewell Media’s WBOK 1230 AM in New Orleans

Oliver Thomas is a trusted and beloved member of the New Orleans community. As a weekday radio host covering complex issues, a member of Mayor Cantrell’s transition team and former New Orleans City Councilman, “OT” has an intimate knowledge of city government’s inner workings.

OT, who serves as Marketing Director for Stuart Consulting Group, is also a well-respected regional actor and writer. Additionally, the Lower 9th Ward native is active in anti-violence and conflict resolution measures, co-Founding the Boys to Men Mentoring Program and serving as a member of both Peacekeepers of New Orleans and CMS Conflict Mediation Services.

Oliver attended and graduated from Santa Fe College on a Basketball Scholarship and completed Harvard’s Kennedy School program for Senior Executives. His personal mantra is “the best you makes everyone else better.”
